It’s been a whirlwind few weeks at the old shop! I’ve got two customers nearing the finish line on e-commerce sites and there are a ton of details that are being hashed out. If you’ve never tried to calculate how much quality meat you can fit into a 12 x 10 x 6 box filled with dry ice…. well, you’re not living.
I took a little break this past weekend to… make more websites. I love the work that I am doing for my customers but I’ve been yearning to do something a little more personal. I’ve been trying to find a way to incorporate some of my passions into my work. As mentioned on the “About Me” tab I do have a variety of interests – exercise, geeky stuff, wine, meat, history…. and so on. Over the years I’ve struggled coming up with blogs for some of those topics. I would start out like a house on fire and then…. say all that I had to say.
And then recently it hit me. The highlight of my week is saturday night as that is movie night. I spend all week searching high and low for the perfect film. The next day I then write up a review on trakt.tv so that I can share it with others. So I thought… why not make my own movie review site? It’s almost done – I’ll announce it soon.
The real reason that I am here is my other site that I’ve been working on. I’ve done some light advertising and the difficult part of talking to people is telling people what they could have. Instead, why not just show them (I have Neil Peart ringing in my ears as I type that). So I came up with a plan to make one or two websites for a given industry. Since there are so many bars and restaurants around I thought I would start there. The look and feel might not be anything close to what you are looking for – this is only the beginning.
With that…. Grand Island Design’s Restaurant Theme.
